The Artists

Five artists. Different styles. Same standard.

Chris Wodarski

Chris Wodarski

Chris is the owner and lead artist of Black Mast Tattoo Parlour. He began tattooing professionally in 2013 and has spent years refining his craft while building a reputation rooted in consistency, growth, and respect for the work.

He specializes in black and gray tattooing, with a style that ranges from realism portraits to more stylized, new school-leaning designs. While black and gray is his foundation, he is fully capable of and open to working in color when the project calls for it.

Chris particularly enjoys tattooing anything automotive, dog portraits, and music-related pieces—projects that carry strong personal meaning or identity for his clients.

As both an artist and owner, he’s put a strong focus on creating more than just a place to get tattooed. Black Mast Tattoo Parlour has been intentionally built to carry a positive, welcoming, and uplifting energy—for both the artists and the clients who walk through the door.

J. Carney

J. Carney

J. Carney started his apprenticeship in 2002 and has been tattooing professionally since 2003. Coming from the old-school side of tattooing, he learned the craft in a different era — from soldering needles by hand to learning through real shop experience long before modern tattoo supply companies shaped the industry.

While he enjoys tattooing a wide range of styles, he’s especially drawn to new school work and the creativity that comes with it. He also has a real passion for coverups, especially changing the way people think a coverup has to look. For him, it’s more than hiding old work — it’s about rebuilding confidence and creating something clients are proud to wear.

His favorite part of tattooing is being able to crawl into the minds of his clients and turn their ideas, memories, and imagination into something permanent. Every project is approached with creativity, honesty, and a genuine passion for the art form.

Decades into the craft, that passion still drives him every day.

Chad Zentgraf

Chad Zentgraf

Resident artist Chad Zentgraf has been tattooing since 2012, bringing over a decade of experience into every piece he creates. He specializes in full color new school, neotraditional, lettering, and black and gray opaque work.

Chad is especially drawn to horror-inspired designs and animal-based concepts, often blending bold creativity with strong technical execution. He prefers working on large-scale projects, building cohesive pieces over time and developing lasting relationships with his clients throughout the process.

TaraCola

TaraCola

I started tattooing in 2017 after coming from a background in charcoal and graphite portrait work, so realism has always been my foundation. That naturally carried over into tattooing, where I focus a lot on both black and gray and color realism.

At the same time, I really enjoy stepping into more bold, stylized work—rooted in Neo-traditional and traditional tattooing. Having that range lets me adapt to whatever direction a piece needs to go while still keeping it strong and intentional.

I like working closely with clients to build something that feels like theirs, but I’m just as comfortable being given creative freedom to design something unique. Either way, the goal is always the same—create something solid, personal, and built to last.

Tay Zay

Tay Zay

Early in her career but already finding her lane, Tay Zay works out of an American traditional foundation with a bold, high-contrast approach—heavy black, clean designs, and sharp red accents.

They enjoy tattooing pin-up girls and gothic-inspired imagery, while also taking on custom pieces that allow for creative flexibility. Whether it’s a planned project or a walk-in, large or small, Tay embraces the challenge and brings a positive, easygoing energy to every session.
